On arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Destination Nepal Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city on your own or relax at your hotel.

Due to changes in the regulations and upgrading at the domestic airport in Kathmandu, flights to Lukla will likely operate out of Manthali Airport in Ramechhap District. This involves a four-hour drive from Kathmandu during the night. The flight from Manthali will depart early in the morning and take 20 minutes.

As dawn breaks, we embark on the challenging ascent to Kalapatthar, a trek not for the faint-hearted. The straight uphill path, lasting 2 to 3 hours, offers unmatched views of Mt. Everest and its surroundings. Standing at the summit, you'll feel the mountain's grandeur, with a gentle breeze enhancing the experience.
The sunrise paints the sky in vibrant shades of orange and red, casting a glorious light over the landscape. After soaking in the beauty of Kalapatthar and witnessing the sunrise, we descend to Dzonglha.
The trail is rugged, strewn with massive rocks and boulders initially, but gradually becomes easier as we proceed. Teahouses along the route offer a cozy spot to rest and enjoy warm tea.
As we continue, the terrain evens out somewhat before swiftly descending and narrowing along the hillside. The final stretch to Dzonglha demands endurance with a continuous uphill climb, rewarded by astonishing views and ample rest opportunities at the teahouse.

Upon reaching the pass after a few hours of uphill trekking, a breathtaking panorama awaits. Cho La Pass is devoid of human settlements, surrounded only by towering peaks, snow-capped hills, and pristine glacial lakes, offering a mesmerizing spectacle. Colorful prayer flags flutter in the wind, adding to the ethereal ambiance. After taking in the awe-inspiring vista, we carefully descend the snow-covered trail to Thangnak, navigating icy patches and loose rocks along the way. Remember to bundle up against the chilly weather at the summit, and upon arrival in Thangnak, cozy teahouses await weary trekkers seeking rest at this high-altitude settlement, nestled at 15,850 feet above sea level.

The journey to Thangnak was challenging, but ascending Gokyo presents an even tougher physical test. Traversing across glaciers, the trail demands stamina and determination. Negotiating steep inclines through narrow valleys and the Ngozumpa Glacier adds to the challenge.
After trekking for another one to two hours, the first of the Gokyo Lakes emerges, framed by majestic mountains and rocky cliffs. The panorama, including Thonak and the five other glacial lakes, is breathtaking. Continuing through rugged terrain, we reach the fifth Gokyo Lake, offering stunning vistas of Mt. Cho Oyu and Gokyo Ri. These lakes, the highest freshwater bodies globally, sit at altitudes of 4,700 to 5,000 meters.
Having soaked in the beauty of the lakes, we return to the village. Nestled at 4,750 meters, Gokyo Valley stands as one of the planet's loftiest settlements. Accommodations, ranging from hotels to inns and guesthouses, cater to visitors seeking respite.

On our final day, having explored all five Gokyo Lakes, our focus shifts to reaching the summit of Gokyo Ri. We'll set out early, embarking on a challenging ascent from the southern slope of the Ngozumpa Glacier, near Taujun Lake.
The trail ahead is steep and rugged, so we'll proceed with a slow and steady pace. Upon reaching the peak, a breathtaking panorama unfolds before us, showcasing iconic peaks like Lhotse, Gyachung Kang, Makalu, Nuptse, and Cho Oyu. At the summit lies a cluster of quaint stone houses, offering a glimpse into the remote settlement.
After soaking in the awe-inspiring vistas, we retrace our steps, descending towards Dole. Following the familiar path through the Ngozumpa Glacier, we pass Tibetan chortens and catch glimpses of Thamserku and Kantega. Despite the fading views of Gokyo Valley, the majestic mountains continue to captivate. The trek back to Dole typically spans 6 to 7 hours, contingent upon altitude effects.
Situated north of Khumjung in the Dudh Koshi River Valley, Dole serves as a vital hub for Gokyo trekkers, boasting numerous guesthouses to accommodate weary travelers.

The descent towards Namche Bazaar offers a serene experience, accompanied by breathtaking vistas of towering peaks, verdant hills, and verdant meadows. After a brief downhill trek, passing by Tibetan monasteries and chortens, we finally reach the picturesque town of Namche.

CLIMATE & BEST TIME TO GO
- Best Overall Time: Autumn (September to November) offers the best conditions for trekking, with clear skies, moderate temperatures, and stunning views.
- Second Best: Spring (March to May) is also a great time, with blooming flowers and stable weather, though it may get crowded.
- For Adventurous Trekkers: Winter (December to February) provides a unique, quiet experience but requires advanced preparation and gear.
- Not Ideal: Summer/Monsoon (June to August) due to rain and challenging conditions, but doable for those who don’t mind the risks.
RESCUE/EVACUATIONS
In case of a serious sickness or a casualty, which we hope will not happen; you shall be rescued by a helicopter. Since you are entirely liable for all the expenses incurred in evacuation please make sure that it is covered by your insurance before assigning for it or be prepared to pay on your own after getting back in Kathmandu.

You must have a valid passport (valid for at least six months beyond your trip) and all required visas, permits, and certificates for your destinations. TIPPING
Tips are appreciated by your support team after the trip. Tips are not mandatory in Nepal but recommended. The amount depends on your budget and appreciation of their work. Where restaurant meals are involved, the tipping is usually 10% of the bill. We would like to request all travelers to give tips separately for driver & guide. Our suggestion is US$ 5 per day by per tourist to driver if same driver is there for whole trip & US$ 10 per day to guide.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
Your booking will be confirmed via email after a 40% deposit of the total trip cost is made through our payment gateway via credit/debit card. The remaining 60% is payable upon arrival in Kathmandu. You may pay the 40% deposit by card or cash, with at least 20% required in cash (USD, AUD, EUR, GBP, CAD, JPY, or SGD).
CANCELATION
If the traveler cancels, the agency charges a cancellation fee based on the following:
- 20% if canceled up to 30 days before the trip
- 30% if canceled 15-29 days before the trip
- 60% if canceled 7-14 days before the trip
- 90% if canceled 6 or fewer days before the trip or in case of no-show
