The Gosaikunda Lake trek is a 7-day adventure that takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal. Starting in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport. After a night in Kathmandu, the journey begins with a scenic drive to Dhunche by private jeep. From Dhunche, you will trek through lush forests and traditional villages, experiencing the local culture and nature along the way. The highlight of the trek is the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, a stunning alpine lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The Gosaikunda Lake trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and a peaceful retreat in the natural beauty of Nepal.

This 7-day trek provides an excellent opportunity to explore the Langtang National Park, home to diverse wildlife and rich flora. As you trek from Dhunche to Chandanwari and onwards to Gosaikunda, you'll pass through rhododendron forests and enjoy panoramic views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges. Gosaikunda is not only a beautiful destination but also a sacred place for Hindus, who visit the lake during the full moon festival of Janai Purnima.

After reaching the serene waters of Gosaikunda Lake, you will have time to explore the area, meditate, or simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The trek then takes you back to Dhunche, where a private jeep will drive you to Kathmandu. Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city or resting to get acclimatized to the high altitude.

Our trek begins with an early morning drive to Dhunche. Along the way, we'll pass beautiful villages, rivers, and meadows. After a 5-6 hour drive, we arrive in Dhunche. In the evening, you can explore the village if you wish.

Distance: Approximately 12-14 kilometers (7.5-8.5 miles)

Today, your Gosaikunda trek begins from Dhunche as you start the ascent to Chandanwari. You'll hike for several hours, passing through charming villages like Deurali, Dursagang, and Foprang Danda. The trail climbs uphill through beautiful pine forests, offering stunning views of Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Langtang, and the Tibetan Mountains. After a rewarding day of trekking, you'll reach Chandanwari, a key highlight for trekkers exploring the Langtang region in Nepal

Distance: Approximately 8-10 kilometers (5-6 miles)

Experience the breathtaking 360-degree view of the snow-covered peaks surrounding you. Marvel at the majestic Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Langtang Ri (7,205 m), Manaslu (8,163 m), and Ganesh Himal (7,422 m). Be sure to wear warm clothes, as the weather can be harsh at this altitude. After a short 30-minute walk, you'll reach the sacred Saraswati Kunda, Bhairav Kunda, and the stunning Gosaikunda Lake.

Distance: Approximately 18-20 kilometers (11-12 miles)

Start your day with a beautiful scenic view while enjoying breakfast at the hotel. After soaking in the breathtaking vistas of lakes and mountains, we will begin our descent back to Dhunche. You'll retrace the same path you ascended, but the downhill walk will be more enjoyable. However, take extra care as you trek down. After 7 to 8 hours of trekking, you'll arrive back in Dhunche.

Distance: Approximately 11.3 kilometers (7 miles)

Your trek concludes as you arrive back in Kathmandu. You'll return on the same scenic roads, with memories of beautiful lakes, breathtaking trails, friendly locals, and stunning white peaks that will last a lifetime.
