Overview
8 Days Kathmandu Pokhara Lumbini Chitwan Tour is a perfect way to explore the best of Nepal’s culture, nature, and history in a short time. The tour begins when our representative greets you at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. From the moment you arrive, you will experience the warm hospitality of Nepal. The first day is for rest and getting ready for the exciting days ahead.
On the second day, you will enjoy a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities. Pokhara is known for its stunning lakes and mountain views. After arriving in Pokhara, you will visit Bindabasini Temple, one of the oldest temples in the city, and then explore Davis Fall, a famous waterfall that flows into a mysterious underground tunnel. Next, we will take you to Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a holy site dedicated to Lord Shiva, located just near Davis Fall. You will also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp and Seti Gorge, a deep river gorge carved by the Seti River. To end the day, we will enjoy boating on the serene Phewa Lake, where you can see the reflection of the Annapurna mountain range on the water.
The next morning, we will visit Sarangkot, a popular viewpoint known for its breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. After enjoying the sunrise and the stunning mountain views, you will have breakfast and then begin your drive to Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit the Maya Devi Temple, which marks the exact birthplace of Buddha, and explore the surrounding monasteries and meditation centers, each built by different countries to represent their cultures and traditions.
On the fifth day, we drive to Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s famous wildlife sanctuary. You will spend two nights in Chitwan, which offers a mix of wildlife adventures and cultural experiences. In the evening, we will visit a Tharu village to learn about the local indigenous people and their unique culture. You will also enjoy a Tharu cultural program featuring traditional music and dance. A sunset view over the Rapti River will make your evening special. During your stay, you can choose between an elephant safari or a jeep safari, depending on your hotel location, to explore the rich wildlife of the park, including rhinos, deer, and if lucky, a Bengal tiger. You may also visit the Elephant Breeding Centre or the Crocodile Breeding Centre, depending on your preferences. Canoeing in the Rapti River will allow you to spot exotic birds and wildlife along the riverbanks.
After an exciting stay in Chitwan, we will drive to Nagarkot, a hill station near Kathmandu, known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas. On the way, we will stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a historic city filled with ancient temples, palaces, and courtyards. Once in Nagarkot, you will relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
On the seventh day, we will drive back to Kathmandu. Along the way, you will visit two of Kathmandu’s most famous religious sites: Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal, and Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner along with a cultural program featuring music and dance.
Finally, on the last day, you will leave with unforgettable memories of Nepal’s rich culture, nature, and hospitality as you depart from Kathmandu.
