Itinerary

On arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Destination Nepal Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city on your own or relax at your hotel.

After breakfast, full day sightseeing tour of Boudhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple & Bhaktapur durbar square 

Bouddhanath is one of the largest stupas in the world, and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist destinations in Kathmandu. The area of Boudhnath is also famous for over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus all over the world. Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a well preserved fine UNESCO world heritage site where you will witness the 55-window palace, the Golden Gate, Nyatapole temple, stone temple and many more.

After breakfast, drive around [210 km-6-7 hrs] to Pokhara, passing through valleys, rivers, terrace fields and some spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges. Today evening free time to explore around Lake Side [around Phewa Lake]

Distance: Approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 miles)

We drive to Nayapul (1-2 hrs) and start our trek towards Tikhedhunga. The trail goes through small villages, terraced fields, and lush forests. We cross the Modi Khola River and reach Tikhedhunga where we will stay for the night.

Distance: Approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles)

We start early in the morning to climb the steep steps to Ulleri. The trail passes through beautiful rhododendron forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We continue our trek to Ghorepani, where we will stay for the night.

Distance: Approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles)

We start our trek early in the morning to climb up to Poon Hill, which is famous for its spectacular sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. We then trek down to Tadapani, passing through beautiful forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine.

Distance: Approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 miles)

We descend down to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village known for its traditional houses and the stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

Distance: Approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles)
We descend down to Nayapul, from where we drive back to Pokhara. We spend the rest of the day exploring the city or relaxing by the lake.

CLIMATE & BEST TIME TO GO

Autumn (mid Sept to mid Dec) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The weather is sunny and warm, with outstanding views but the nights are cold and can fall to freezing. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, only colder (obviously). The trekking routes are crowded during spring and autumn but during winter the routes are not packed and you could enjoy rather best of nature. However, please note, there may be snowfall / avalanches during the winter.

RESCUE/EVACUATIONS

In case of a serious sickness or a casualty, which we hope will not happen; you shall be rescued by a helicopter. Since you are entirely liable for all the expenses incurred in evacuation please make sure that it is covered by your insurance before assigning for it or be prepared to pay on your own after getting back in Kathmandu.

NEPAL VISA

All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold passport and valid visa. Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. Visa is also issued at the entry points. It can be extended at the Department of Immigration, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Children under 10 years need not pay any visa fee. People willing to get entry Visa at the airport or any of the land entry points are required to fill a visa form with passport photograph. Only People of these countries do not get visa on arrival at the immigration entry points of Nepal: - Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, and Palestine, Afghanistan. Tourist Visa Extension
* Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is US $ 45 or equivalent convertible currency and visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US$ 3 per day. 5 USD per day as late fine in the case of delay
* Tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January – December).

Gratis Visa is issued free of cost in case of following categories of Visa applicants:
     Children below 10 years (except US citizens)
     Up to 30 days for SAARC Citizen (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa year.  Afghan citizens are eligible for Gratis Visa on Arrival only upon the recommendation of Department of Immigration. If you are an Afghan citizen, you can request concerned institution inviting you to Nepal for necessary paperwork with Department of Immigration to get you Gratis Visa ‘On Arrival’.

PASSPORT AND VISAS: 

You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas, permits and certificates for the countries in which you will visit during your trip. Your passport must be valid for six months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip; please refer to the Trip Notes for details. We are not responsible if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct passport, visa or other travel documentation.

Your booking will be confirmed by email once we receive your deposit of 40% of total trip cost & the balance 60% of total trip cost after on arrival in Kathmandu. 

CANCELATION 

In case of cancellation by the Traveller, the Agency has the right to charge a percentage cancellation fee according to the following scale:
•    Up to 30 days before the “Trip Start Day” a fee of 20% 
•    15-29 days before the “Trip Start Day” a fee of 30% 
•    7-14 days before the “Trip Start Day” a fee of 60% 
•    6 or less days until the “Trip Start Day” and in the event of non-appearance a fees of 90% 
•    For trip postpone, we will not take any charges
