Spring (March to May)
Best for: Scenic beauty and mild temperatures.
Why: This is one of the best times to visit Nepal, as the weather is pleasant, and the skies are generally clear. You’ll witness the blooming rhododendrons in the hills around Pokhara and lush greenery in Chitwan. The Tour to Muktinath will be comfortable due to the moderate temperatures.
Summer/Monsoon (June to August)
Best for: Quiet travel and nature lovers.
Why: While this season brings rain, it also offers lush landscapes, especially in Pokhara and Chitwan. Fewer crowds mean a more peaceful experience, although some areas might be more challenging due to the rain, particularly the flight to Jomsom and visits to Muktinath. Chitwan’s jungle safaris are enjoyable with the rich vegetation.
Autumn (September to November)
Best for: Clear views and cultural experiences.
Why: This is the most popular season, as the weather is cool and dry, making it perfect for sightseeing and spiritual visits. The skies are clear for stunning views of the mountains around Pokhara and Muktinath. The Dashain and Tihar festivals add a cultural dimension to your trip.
Winter (December to February)
Best for: Pilgrims and wildlife enthusiasts.
Why: Though it’s colder, particularly around Jomsom and Muktinath, the winter months offer a peaceful and crowd-free experience. Chitwan National Park is ideal during this season for wildlife activities, as the temperatures are cooler, making safaris more enjoyable.
