The flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular Himalayan flights, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan mountain range. Departing from Kathmandu to Paro, this journey provides panoramic views of Everest, Kanchenjunga, and other iconic peaks before an exciting descent into the Kingdom of Bhutan. As you disembark, Bhutan welcomes you with its cool, fresh mountain air, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
After completing immigration formalities at Paro International Airport, our representative will greet you before embarking on a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city. En route, you’ll stop at Chuzom, the confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers, adorned with three distinct stupas—Tibetan, Nepalese, and Bhutanese. Just before reaching Chuzom, you'll glimpse Tamchogang Lhakhang, a historic 15th-century temple, dedicated to Balaha, the excellent horse, a manifestation of Chenrezig, the Compassionate Buddha.
Upon arrival in Thimphu, check into your hotel and explore Bhutan’s capital city, a fascinating blend of ancient traditions and modern development. With a population of about 90,000, Thimphu remains one of the few capitals in the world without a traffic light.
Must-Visit Attractions in Thimphu
