Drive to Maccha Khola (160 km/9-10 hrs drive) via Arughat & Soti Khola.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machhakhola, passing through stunning landscapes. After breakfast, prepare for the journey along the Prithvi Highway, enjoying views of the Trishuli River and Dhading’s lush hills. The route takes you past Arughat and Gola Bhanjyang, offering breathtaking sights of Ganesh Himal and Mt. Manaslu. Navigating narrow cliffside roads, you reach Soti Khola, a picturesque village with stunning Himalayan views. A final 1.5-2 hour drive brings you to Machhakhola, where you can explore, enjoy local cuisine, and rest overnight at a cozy lodge.

Your trek begins along the twisting trails beside the Budi Gandaki River, passing through lush forests where monkeys and langurs roam. As you reach Lower Khorlabeshi, a Gurung village, you’ll see shepherds wearing traditional Bokkhu capes.
Continuing forward, arrive at Tatopani, where you can relax in natural hot springs. Afterward, cross a suspension bridge to Doban and trek past landslides and Yaruphant. A wooden bridge leads you to Yaru, followed by a long cantilever bridge to Jagat, a beautiful Gurung village. Here, you must verify your trekking permits as you enter the restricted Manaslu region.

On our third trekking day, we continue alongside the Marsyangdi river and ascend a steep path, entering the Manang region at Tal village. Witness numerous waterfalls shaping a river near sandy beaches in this scenic locale. Our journey takes us through fields of barley, rice, and potatoes, leading to Kodo, one of the Start your trek to Salleri, then descend to Sirdibas, a village adorned with Buddhist prayer flags and ancient gompas. Along the route, you can sample local alcohol before reaching Phillim, where your trekking permits are checked.
Following the scenic western bank of the Budi Gandaki River, marvel at unique rock formations shaped by the water. The trail winds through rhododendron forests, Himalayan pines, and towering cliffs. After crossing the Siyar Khola bridge, pass the Tsum Valley junction before reaching Pewa. A short walk leads to Deng, where you can relax, enjoy a warm meal, and share trekking stories by the fireplace.

Your trek from Deng to Namrung begins with an uphill and downhill trail, passing small village settlements. Cross a log bridge to reach an isolated watermill, then descend to Bihi Phedi. After crossing the Serang Khola via a small bridge, follow winding paths past basalt walls, wheat fields, and small waterfalls.
A suspension bridge leads to Ghap, where the trail winds through lush rhododendron and pine forests. Trekking alongside the river, you arrive at Namrung, a beautiful Tibetan-influenced village. This gateway to Upper Nupri offers stunning views, Mani walls, and chortens, immersing you in local culture.

Trek along the scenic Mani stone walls toward Lho, passing breathtaking landscapes and hillside ridges. Witness the stunning Pungen Glacier and enjoy panoramic views of Peak 29, Mount Manaslu, and surrounding snow-capped peaks. The lateral moraine offers outstanding close-up glacier views.
After exploring, return to Lho, a charming village with a large Gompa where over 150 children study Buddhist philosophy. From the hilltop, enjoy the most spectacular sunrise views of Mount Manaslu and its twin "fishtail" peaks. The viewpoint above the Gompa offers awe-inspiring sights without a steep climb. Stay overnight in a Lho teahouse.

Trek from Lho to Sama Gaun[Altitude 3530m/11581ft)
Today’s trek takes you from Namrung to Samagaon, passing through lush forests and barley fields. Arrive at Lihi, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of Ganesh Himal and Himal Chuli. Descend into a picturesque valley, crossing the Hinang Khola before a steep climb to Chortens with breathtaking views of Ngadi Chuli.
Continue to Lho, a traditional Gurung village home to the beautiful Ribung Monastery. Trek past Damodar Khola to Shyala village, crossing Numla Khola via a suspension bridge. A gentle uphill trail leads to Pungyen Gompa before reaching Samagaon, where you'll stay overnight at a teahouse.

Acclimatization day at Sama Gaun
Spend the day acclimatizing in Samagaon to prevent altitude sickness. Take a scenic hike to Pungyen Gompa in the Nubra Valley, offering breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu and sightings of Himalayan Thars and Yaks.
For a challenging trek, hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,400m), passing Birendra Tal before ascending the steady trail. Walk slowly and stay hydrated to manage altitude effects.
Alternatively, take a short, relaxing hike to Birendra Tal, a serene glacial lake near Samagaon. Rest overnight at a teahouse, preparing for higher altitudes ahead.

Today’s trek to Samdo is short but requires a slow pace due to the high altitude. You’ll pass through vast yak pastures, long Mani walls, and spot various Himalayan birds.
Leaving the treeline, cross a wooden bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River and ascend a ridge to reach White Kani before arriving at the picturesque yak-herding village of Samdo.
Explore the village, hike to Samdo Peak, or follow the Larkya La trail for breathtaking mountain views. You can also see the ancient trade route to Tibet over Larjyang La.

Today is a rest day at Samdo, with an optional hike to the Tibetan border. From the border, enjoy panoramic views of both Nepal and Tibet. If you're lucky, you may spot a yak caravan crossing the trade route.
South of Samdo Glacier, capture stunning photos of massive ice seracs. The region is also home to Himalayan wildlife like blue sheep, pikas, and marmots. This acclimatization hike helps prepare for higher altitudes while offering incredible landscapes and cultural insights.

Today’s trek is a relatively easy 3-hour hike, but don’t underestimate the challenge of high-altitude trekking. While Dharmasala may appear close from Samdo, the altitude adds complexity, making the journey feel longer. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain chain, rewarding you with stunning scenery as you navigate rugged terrains. This is a milestone day on the Manaslu Circuit Trek as you conquer the highest point, Larkya La Pass (5,160m/16,929 ft). The trek to the pass is challenging, especially in bad weather or snow, but it’s achievable with steady pacing. Starting early at 3 a.m., you’ll leave the teahouse after breakfast to ensure you cross the pass before noon.
Reaching Larkya La rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of Himlung (7,126m), Kang Guru (6,981m), and Annapurna II (7,937m). After soaking in the majestic scenery, descend for about 3 hours to Bimthang, passing awe-inspiring icefalls, glaciers, and Pongkar Tal along the way.

On your final trekking day in the Manaslu region, you’ll descend through lush forests teeming with vibrant flora and fauna, including beautiful rhododendron bushes. Crossing the Dudh Khola, you’ll reach Karche for lunch. As you continue, you’ll notice signs of glacial floods, such as uprooted trees and eroded banks, making parts of the trail rougher. The path leads to Gurung Goa, the first village since Samdo, where the landscape transforms into lush agricultural fields. Passing oak and rhododendron groves, you’ll stay on the north bank until reaching Tilije. From there, continue your scenic journey toward Dharapani to conclude your trek.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek concludes with a scenic drive from Dharapani to Kathmandu. From Dharapani, a direct road leads to Besisahar, taking about 4 hours, followed by a paved route along the Prithvi Highway. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you’ll board a private vehicle for the 8-10 hour drive to Kathmandu. This journey offers stunning views of green hills, mountain valleys, and vast meadows, showcasing Nepal's natural beauty.

Climate in the Manaslu Region
The Manaslu Circuit Trek takes you through diverse climatic zones, from subtropical forests to alpine terrain and high-altitude glaciers. The temperature and weather conditions vary depending on the season and altitude:
Lower Region (800m - 2,000m) – Mild temperatures with warm days and cool nights.
Mid-Altitude (2,000m - 3,500m) – Cooler temperatures with moderate daytime warmth and chilly evenings.
High Altitude (3,500m - 5,160m) – Cold temperatures, especially at night, with possible snowfall.
Best Time to Trek the Manaslu Circuit
The best time for the Manaslu Circuit Trek is during Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November) when the weather is stable, skies are clear, and temperatures are favorable.
1. Spring (March to May) – Best for Blooming Landscapes

RESCUE/EVACUATIONS
In case of a serious sickness or a casualty, which we hope will not happen; you shall be rescued by a helicopter. Since you are entirely liable for all the expenses incurred in evacuation please make sure that it is covered by your insurance before assigning for it or be prepared to pay on your own after getting back in Kathmandu.

TIPPING
Tips are appreciated by your support team after the trip. Tips are not mandatory in Nepal but recommended. The amount depends on your budget and appreciation of their work. Where restaurant meals are involved, the tipping is usually 10% of the bill. We would like to request all travelers to give tips separately for driver & guide. Our suggestion is US$ 5 per day by per tourist to driver if same driver is there for whole trip & US$ 10 per day to guide.

CANCELATION
If the traveler cancels, the agency charges a cancellation fee based on the following:
